Fire Chief Brandon L. Dahlen is proud to lead the Center Point Fire District as its seventh Fire Chief, a position he has held since October 13, 2023. A lifelong resident of north Jefferson County, Chief Dahlen grew up in the Grayson Valley area and continues to live there today.

Chief Dahlen began his journey in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter in 1999. After completing fire recruit school and earning his EMT-paramedic certifications in 2001 through the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he became a professional firefighter. Over the past 24 years, he has dedicated his career to serving the Center Point Fire District.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety and an Associate’s degree in Fire Science, Chief Dahlen has steadily risen through the ranks. He has held positions as a Lieutenant, Station Captain, and Battalion Chief. As the head of the district’s training division, he played a key role in developing advanced training and safety programs and was instrumental in building the current training center.

As the Fire Chief, he oversees all aspects of the fire district, including Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services, Administration, Training, and Logistics. He works closely with municipal and public partners, sets the vision for the department, and provides leadership to his administrative and operational staff.

Chief Dahlen is deeply committed to supporting the dedicated men and women of the fire district and serving the community. His goal is to ensure the department continues to grow, adapt to new technologies, and meet the changing needs of the community it serves.
