Retirees Breakfast Celebrates Fire Service Legacy

On June 11, Center Point Fire District had the privilege of hosting a Retirees Breakfast, bringing together generations of firefighters who helped build the foundation of our district.

Nearly 40 retirees gathered for fellowship, conversation, and the opportunity to reconnect with friends and members of their fire service family. Based on those in attendance who recorded their years of service, an astonishing 1,261 years of combined fire service experience was represented at the Clay Community Center.

Among those in attendance was a firefighter who served when the district was first formed, a reminder of the rich history and proud tradition that continues to guide our organization today.

Behind every year of service is a story of lives impacted, lessons learned, challenges overcome, and a commitment to protecting and serving others before oneself. The legacy of those who came before us continues to shape our district, and we are grateful for the example they set through their dedication and sacrifice.

Thank you to everyone who attended. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Lt. Brandon West, Lt. Matt Brown, Lt. Brian Frew, Captain Chris Brewis, and Battalion Chief (Ret.) Paul Henderson for organizing and preparing the breakfast, making it possible for so many members of our fire service family to reconnect.

It was an honor to celebrate the men and women whose contributions have left such a lasting mark on Center Point Fire District and the community we serve.

Thank you all for your service!
