On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, the Center Point Fire District proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Station No. 3, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Pawnee Community and everyone we serve.
The ceremony began with an invocation by Chaplain Bishop Stephen Davis, followed by welcome remarks from Board President Jody Harris. Attendees also heard from Vice President Sue Duke, who reflected on the history of the original Station No. 3, Retired Chief Donnie West, who shared the vision and planning behind the project, Milam & Co., the general contractor for the new station, Jefferson County Commissioner Joe Knight, who spoke about the partnerships that made the project possible, and Fire Chief Brandon Dahlen, who highlighted what the new station will mean for the future of the Center Point Fire District and the community.
This project represents far more than a new building. It marks the return of Station No. 3 to the community, honoring the legacy of those who served here before while investing in the future of fire and emergency services.
The new Station No. 3 has been thoughtfully designed to serve both our firefighters and our citizens. Features such as drive-through apparatus bays, firefighter decontamination areas, modern safety systems, dedicated living quarters, community center space, and a storm shelter will allow us to continue providing the highest level of service while supporting the health and safety of our personnel.
This milestone would not have been possible without the vision, partnership, and dedication of so many. We extend our sincere appreciation to Jefferson County Commissioner Joe Knight, the Jefferson County Commission, Milam & Co., our Fire Board, project partners, consultants, community leaders, and everyone whose support and collaboration helped make the return of Station No. 3 a reality.
