During the week of June 15, 2026, Center Point Fire District crews completed Live Fire Training and NFPA 1410 Evolutions, focusing on critical firefighting skills that directly translate to real-world emergency operations.
Throughout the week, C-Shift personnel from all stations rotated through hands-on water supply drills, practicing reverse lays from the apparatus to the hydrant to establish a reliable water source. These evolutions help ensure crews can efficiently secure water supply operations under emergency conditions.
In addition to water supply operations, firefighters participated in live fire scenarios that provided valuable experience conducting victim searches in simulated fire conditions. This realistic training allowed personnel to sharpen their search techniques, improve situational awareness, and build confidence operating in challenging environments.
Training of this nature is essential to maintaining proficiency, enhancing firefighter safety, and ensuring our crews are prepared to deliver the highest level of service to the communities we protect.
